How Miami Heat’s Twitter Reacted To Game 5 Loss Against The Denver Nuggets Monday Night
The NBA season is over. The Miami Heat lost to the Denver Nuggets in Game 5 of the NBA Finals after a highly contested showdown.
Despite the loss, many fans had nothing but admiration for their team after an unpredictable postseason run.
Things started off relatively favorable for Miami. Bam Adebayo was aggressive, ending the first 24 minutes with 18 points and nine rebounds. However, a seven-point halftime lead was not met with much happiness. Denver was 1 of 15 from 3-point range with Nikola Jokic, Aaron Gordon, and Jamal Murray all in foul trouble. The inability to take a bigger lead had many fans worried.
And that concern showed in the final result.
Jimmy Butler only went 2 of 8 for eight points at the half, passing up many shots at the rim.
He unfortunately never countered with a “Playoff Jimmy” performance. He had a good fourth quarter with 13 points in the final minutes. Still, he was inefficient most of the game and had a costly turnover that clinched the series for Denver.
It’s hard to imagine the day Butler would be ostracized by the fanbase and NBA Twitter. But we finally saw the day.
Bam Adebayo on the other hand scored two points in the second half, struggling to finish at the rim. But there were hardly any words toward him after a solid Finals performance.
