How Miami Heat’s Twitter Reacted To Monday Night Loss To Milwaukee Bucks
The Miami Heat defeat to Damian Lillard and the Milwaukee Bucks wasn’t what fans wanted to see.
But it’s more or less what they expected. Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo’s combined 58 points overwhelmed Miami in the end. Even the Heat’s 41-point fourth quarter wasn’t enough to comeback against Milwaukee.
To be fair, the Heat missing Bam Adebayo deprived them of size and their second scoring option. Miami’s leading rebounder was Tyler Herro, as center Thomas Bryant only had two in his first start with Miami.
Herro performed admirably with a 35-point performance on decent shooting. Fans could at least celebrate his game amidst the loss.
The same couldn’t be said about Heat star Jimmy Butler.
Yes, you read that right. Butler’s lackluster season so far opened the gate to Twitter criticism, in place of usual praise for his individual superstar performances. He went 4 of 11 from the field for just 13 points.
It’s probably for the best that Butler sat out most of the fourth quarter, according to some fans on Twitter. They want to see more of Nikola Jovic and Jaime Jacquez Jr., and less of veterans like Kyle Lowry and Kevin Love.
It’s been a rough start to the season for Miami, but they can start turning it around Wednesday night against the Brooklyn Nets (1-2).
If not, the persistent calls to blow up the team or trade for help may come sooner in the season.
