How Miami Heat's Twitter Reacted To Monday's Loss To The Minnesota Timberwolves

The Miami Heat fell short to the Minnesota Timberwolves behind an Anthony Edwards star performance.

Miami Heat fans went into Monday night excited about the return of stars Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo.

Sadly, the game ended in disappointment as the Heat dropped to the league-best Minnesota Timberwolves. Miami got off to a strong start in the first half, but another blown fourth quarter lead ultimately resulted in a loss.

"This team never learns," user HeatCulture said. "Even with Bam and Herro back, this team still choked a 17 point lead. You guys have no shame. Pathetic loss."

Last season, the third quarter was where the Heat displayed their most lackluster basketball. This year, it's the fourth quarter, which isn't a good way to encourage fans who brag about their team's clutch nature.

"Butler played less than 5 minutes in the 4th [quarter]," user Frank Lilly said. "I’m sure there’s some genius explanation for letting him sit while the lead was lost, and the game collapsed, but seems like a minutes/strategy shift is needed.

Herro and Adebayo combined for 47 points in their return, which many fans were excited about. However, the team had no answer for Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards, who had 32 points, eight rebounds, three steals and two blocks. Karl-Anthony Towns followed right behind Edwards offensively with an 18-point performance on 50 percent shooting.

With the history of Jimmy Butler's beef with Towns and the Timberwolves, Minnesota fans wasted no time trolling him after their victory.

To add insult to injury, Butler had another ill-timed 3-pointer to try and tie the game with less than 25 seconds left.

The Heat play the Orlando Magic (16-9) Wednesday night.
