How Miami Heat's Twitter Reacted To Saturday Night's Loss To The Minnesota Timberwolves

The Miami Heat dropped their sixth consecutive game in Minnesota.

The Miami Heat's blowout loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves wasn't how they wanted to bounce back after their Friday night defeat.

But yet here we are.

Miami did a decent job defensively against Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards. However, they had no answer for Timberwolves forward Naz Reid, who finished with 25 points on 71 percent shooting from the field.

Tyler Herro and Duncan Robinson went a combined 6 of 21 from 3-point range. Kyle Lowry had another lackluster offensive performance, while Bam Adebayo shot poorly from the free-throw line. The Heat kept it close deep into the fourth quarter, but poor shooting and a late surge from Anthony Edwards sealed it for Minnesota.

To be fair, Miami played this game without Jimmy Butler, Caleb Martin, Kevin Love and Haywood Highsmith. Still, it was underwhelming for fans to watch their team fall apart after keeping the game close for nearly 53 minutes.

This marks the sixth straight time the Heat lost to the Timberwolves in Minnesota. Butler blew kisses to the crowd, continuing to troll his former team. Normally, basketball fans love these gestures as a reflection of Butler's competitiveness. But because Miami was in the midst of a 16-point defeat, fans were a lot more critical.

Even with the injuries, this game was one the Heat couldn't afford losing. They head to Milwaukee Monday night to face Damian Lillard and the new-look Bucks. It's early in the season, but starting the year with a 1-3 record won't encourage many fans going forward.
