How Miami Heat’s Twitter Reacted To Saturday’s Loss To The Brooklyn Nets

The Miami Heat’s short-handed squad suffered a blowout against the Brooklyn Nets.

The Miami Heat continued their losing streak with a crushing loss to the Brooklyn Nets Saturday night.

Granted, they were without their Big Three of Tyler Herro, Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, as well as sharpshooter Duncan Robinson.

The depleted squad could do little against the cast of Mikal Bridges, Dorian Finney-Smith and Cam Johnson, who collectively scored 59 points. Caleb Martin and Jaime Jaquez Jr. shined with a combined 40 points on 52 percent shooting. Cole Swider even came through with a solid 11 points on 3 of 7 shooting from 3-point range. Still, it was difficult to combat Brooklyn without their stars.

It didn't help that forward Haywood Highsmith suffered an lower back contusion after a scary fall coming down from an attempted block.

“The Haywood Highsmith transition possession was the most chaotic thing I’ve ever seen and that says something,” user Hot Hot Hoops said.

There wasn’t much emotion from the fanbase after this game. No frustration nor happiness, just an overall feeling of neutrality. Many fans were instead concerned on the number of injuries their team is reeling from, disregarding this game in the big picture.

Some fans even jokingly blamed the New York City environment for their last two losses to the Knicks and Nets.

Hopefully, the Heat can regroup and get their stars for their Tuesday night matchup with the Milwaukee Bucks (11-5) Tuesday night. They face Damian Lillard in Miami for the first time since his trade to Milwaukee.
