How Miami Heat’s Twitter Reacted to the Loss Against the Orlando Magic Saturday Night
The Miami Heat came off a win against the Cleveland Cavaliers in an attempt to climb the Eastern Conference standings.
A loss against the Orlando Magic Saturday only set them back. Jimmy Butler hit a 3-pointer in the waning seconds to force overtime but Miami was outscored 18-6 in the extra period.
Butler ended with 38 points while no one else scored more than 14. Fans expressed their frustration for his performance not translating to a win.
Butler’s superstar performances coming up short left fans asking him to go elsewhere to win unless he gets more help in Miami.
“Next season, trade Jimmy to an actual contender,” one fan said. “I really wanna see him get a ring, and it’s obvious that we can’t build a good enough team around him.”
Bam Adebayo hasn’t played near the All-Star level he displayed before the break. After having 14 points, seven rebounds and three assists, he is averaging just 18.4 points since he headed to Salt Lake City. Miami is 9-2 this season when Adebayo scores 30-plus points, but he only has one suck performance since the middle of February..
The Heat are now three games behind the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets. They need to string consecutive wins or be stuck as a play-in team. They play the Utah Jazz (33-35) Monday night.
