How Miami Heat’s Twitter Reacted to the Win Against the Boston Celtics Wednesday Night

The Miami Heat open the conference finals with a win against the Boston Celtics.

The Miami Heat’s tone-setting Game 1 victory over the Boston Celtics mirrored the way they opened against the Milwaukee Bucks and New York Knicks

And we all know how that ended for those teams.

That’s not to say this series is anywhere near over, or that it even swings in Miami’s favor. Don’t tell that to Heat fans, though. They are enjoying this positive feeling after being eliminated by the Celtics last year.

Jimmy Butler had 35 points, five rebounds, seven assists, and six steals. He became the third player in league history to have multiple playoff games with at least 35 points, five rebounds, five assists and five steals. Butler joined an exclusive list of Allen Iverson and Michael Jordan.

Bam Adebayo understood his assignment, complementing Butler’s offensive with 20 points. Gabe Vincent, Max Strus, Kyle Lowry and Caleb Martin each contributed 15 points with three 3-pointers apiece to balance out the scoring.

They are no longer criticized by fans, rather appreciated.

The same can’t be said for center Cody Zeller, who went from a fan favorite to basically another Dewayne Dedmon.

The third quarter is typically where the Heat display their most underwhelming basketball. Instead, they won the quarter 46-25.

ESPN gave Miami a three percent chance of winning the series, a statistic that is being ignored by the fans and players alike.

The Heat are back in Boston for Game 2 Friday night.
