Jamal Murray Could Miss Miami Heat-Denver Nuggets NBA Finals Rematch
The first meeting between the teams from last year's NBA Finals could lose some of its shine.
There is a chance Denver Nuggets misses Thursday's game against the Miami Heat at Ball Arena. After the Nuggets defeated the Sacramento Kings Wednesday, it was unsure if he would play.
"I don't know," Nuggets coach Mike Malone said.
When Murray was asked, he said, ""I'll just take tomorrow and we'll see."
Murray had 32 points, six assists and three rebounds in the win against the Kings. He shot 13 of 15 from the field, making 5 of 6 3-pointers.
The reason for the uncertainty is Murray did not play the second night of a back-to-back Feb. 23 against the Portland Trail Blazers. He was ruled out with bilateral tibia inflammation.
If Murray does play, he says he will treat it just like any another game instead of a Finals rematch. Last year the Nuggets defeated the Heat in five games.
"Really, no, just trying to play the game and get dub," Murray said. "I know they're going to come out strong and aggressive. We gotta just be ready to not only the energy but exceed it and use our homecourt to our advantage again."
