Eastern Conference Recaps, Feb. 27: Knicks Run Winning Streak To Six After Julius Randle's 23 Points Leads Them Past Boston Celtics
The New York Knicks continued to roll while Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum lost his cool in the fourth quarter that led to his first career ejection.
Julius Randle’s 23 points led the Knicks to a 109-94 victory, their sixth straight win.
“Obviously their record tells you how good they are and they can make up ground very quickly because of the way they shoot the 3,” Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau said. “Their shot profile is terrific, so no lead feels safe.”
Tatum was ejected late after receiving his second technical for arguing with officials.
"But all the great players get thrown out a few times in their career," Tatum said. "So, it's good for my rep."
Jalen Brunson had 17 points and Immanuel Quickley led all reserves with 23. Malcolm Brogdon led the Celtics with 22 points off the bench and Marcus Smart had 19.
