Former Miami Heat Kyle Lowry has fit in nicely with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Lowry is fresh off a 14-point performance in a 112-107 loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday. He signed with the 76ers in mid-February after being bought out by the Charlotte Hornets. Lowry has averaged nine points and 5.7 assists through six games. He has started the last three games for the 76ers. The team is 2-1 over that stretch.

Lowry started the year as the starting point guard for the Heat. He played in 37 games before being traded to the Hornets in a swap for Terry Rozier. Lowry regressed to averaging just 8.2 points and four assists with the Heat.

"Kyle does a great job of getting us organized out there and putting us in great positions," Sixers forward Tobias Harris said. "He’s such a threat as well to shoot that 3-ball and getting in the middle of the lane and kicking it out."

Lowry’s shooting and passing have noticeably improved since joining the 76ers. He is shooting 43.5 percent from three during his short stint. He shot 38.5 percent this year with the Heat. Lowry has also averaged 1.7 more assists with his new team while turning the ball over at roughly the same rate.

The return of key players on the 76ers from injury like Tyrese Maxey and De’Anthony Melton will likely eat into Lowry’s minutes. Lowry has already proven he can be an efficient player for the 76ers. He had 11 points, five assists, and four rebounds in 25 minutes off the bench against the New York Knicks in his first game with the new team.

Lowry and the 76ers play their next game tonight against the Memphis Grizzlies. The Heat travel to Philadelphia later this month. Lowry’s return to the Kaseya Center is scheduled for April 4.
