Two of the Eastern Conference's most polarizing offensive guards are going head-to-head on Friday.

Tyler Herro and the Miami Heat are hoping to jumpstart a winning streak against Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks. Miami took down the Orlando Magic earlier this week behind a 28-point performance from Herro. Meanwhile, Young recorded 30 points and 14 assists in a victory Wednesday.

The Heat are without veteran star Jimmy Butler, meaning Herro must step up as the No. 1 option. Since returning from injury, the former Sixth Man of the Year is averaging 26.5 points on 57.1 percent shooting and 45.5 percent from three-point range.

Young has been more fortunate from an injury standpoint, appearing in nearly every game. He is averaging 28.2 points and 11.1 assists with mediocre efficiency. Despite his efforts, the Hawks appear on their way to a second straight disappointing season.

Herro's recent performances are leading many to push for his exclusion from potential trades. Young is still the cornerstone of the Hawks organization, but could see change around him in the coming months.

Both of these guards struggle with consistency, which makes their efforts significant. If Herro showcases a better shooting display, then Miami holds a strong chance to come out victorious.
