After multiple seasons of success with their ‘Vice’ uniforms, the Miami Heat are moving on to a new look.

The NBA recently unveiled their City Edition jerseys for the upcoming season. The Heat’s are among the most talked about on social media because of the ‘Heat Culture’ design.

The NBA began creating these uniforms in 2016, updating them on a yearly basis. Since then, the Heat have reached the NBA Finals twice. They were led by All-Star duo Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.

Fans did not respond kindly to the uniforms after turning away from the fan favorite ‘Vice’ uniforms.

One fan suggests that the removal of the word Heat could improve it. ‘Heat Culture’ is a phrase often used to describe the organization. In recent seasons, the culture represents scouting and developing under-the-radar prospects. Players such as Duncan Robinson, Gabe Vincent, and Max Strus have received multi-year contracts after time in Miami’s system.

While some supporters pitched ideas of improvement, others got straight to the point. Prior to the regular season, fans tend to criticize more than usual. With the Heat’s opener on October 25, talk will begin to settle.

However, one bright spot for the design team comes with the shorts. Although they may not match the jersey, the black, white, and red design fits the Heat’s theme.

Jerseys are the least of Miami's concerns as they hope to reach the Finals for the second straight season.
