Miami Heat Legend Tim Hardaway Names His All-Time Starting Five
Former NBA star Tim Hardaway recently went on the podcast @TheOGsShow and spoke about his all-time starting five for the Miami Heat.
Hardaway spoke with former Miami Heat players Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller about his all-time starting five for the franchise. It included himself, Dwayne Wade, LeBron James, Alonzo Mourning and Shaquille O’Neal.
Hardaway said, “Oh man, Tim Hardaway, Dwyane Wade, I got to put LeBron (James) in there, I can’t go nowhere without my buddy, Zo (Alonzo Mourning), and Shaquille O’Neal.”
During Hardaway's time with Miami, he averaged 17.3 points, 7.8 assists and 3.2 rebounds. Wade, who is considered the best player in Heat history, averaged 22.7 points, 5.6 assists and 4.7 rebounds. James, who led the Heat to two titles in 2012 and 2013, averaged 26.9 points, 6.7 assists and 7.6 rebounds with the Heat. Mourning averaged 16.0 points, 1.1 assists and 8.1 assists while O’Neal averaged 19.6 points, 2.1 assists and 9.1 rebounds.
Hardaway was No. 14 in the 1989 draft by the Golden State Warriors where he played for six seasons and was an All-Star three times. He was later traded to the Miami Heat and was selected as an All-Star two more times playing in Miami.
With the exception of James, all of the players are in the Hall of Fame. James will get in when he finally retires.
