Miami Heat Owner Micky Arison Mourns The Death Of Music Icon Tina Turner
Miami Heat owner Micky Arison was among the millions who paid their respect to singer Tina Turner, who died Wednesday.
She was 83.
Arison took to Twitter to show his appreciation for Turner by tweeting "simply the best." The words were from her No. 1 hit song "Simply The Best" that was released in 1989.
Turner played at least 30 concerts in Florida throughout her career, including one at the formerly AmericanAirlines Arena Oct. 30, 2008. Turner was a 12-time Grammy winner and inductee into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
She died after battling longtime illnesses, including cancer and a kidney transplant, in her home in Switzerland. Her life was the subject of the movie "What's Love Got To Do With It" that became a fan favorite.
