The Miami Heat are no doubt led by their core of Bam Adebayo, Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro when he returns from injury next month.

Still, the supporting cast has proven it can ease the load of the stars. The second unit was just as vital in Monday's win against the Chicago Bulls

They scored 42 points off the bench, led by Jaime Jaquez's 19 points.

"The great thing about that group is they have great intentions," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. "They want to produce for the team and they know how important they are. That group is a major X-factor for us. It just feels different from last year."

The unit consists of Jaquez, Josh Richardson, Kevin Love, Caleb Martin and Orlando Robinson. They helped extend the lead during their time on the court, helping the Heat avoid a comeback defeat like Saturday against the Bulls.

"It's huge," said forward Duncan Robinson, who is back in the starting lineup after spending most of last season out of the rotation. "We talk a lot about just holding onto the rope, not letting go. If one group gets off to a good start, to have them come in and just keep pushing the pace. They really separated us in that second half."
