Several Heat players were on hand Friday for Herro's big night

Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro has made plenty trips to hometown when playing against the Milwaukee Bucks

On Friday, it was even more special.

Herro's high school No. 14 jersey was retired at Whitnall High School. It is the number he has worn at the last three levels, from preps to college at Kentucky and now with the Heat. Herro is one of the most celebrated players in Wisconsin hoops history, earning McDonald's All-American honors.

Of course, his Heat teammates were on hand for the moment. The players gave Herro the same treatment as longtime captain Udonis Haslem when his number was retired at Miami Senior High School earlier this year.

Herro has one day to celebrate the honor before preparing to face the Bucks, who are led by All-Star Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Heat enter at 29-24 and sitting in sixth-place in the Eastern Conference standings.
