Miami Heat Signing Foward Cole Swider To Exhibit-10 Contract

The Miami Heat intend to sign former Los Angeles Lakers sharpshooter Cole Swider

Former Los Angeles Lakers forward Cole Swider plans to sign an exhibit-10 contract with the Miami Heat. Swider will be given the opportunity to compete for a contract during training camp.

Swider is a developmental sharpshooter who stands at 6-foot-9. In Summer League, he attempted eight three-pointers over five games, shooting 42.5 percent. He could be viewed as a long-term replacement for now Cleveland Cavaliers Max Strus.

He may take a few years to develop into a rotational piece. However, if the Heat see promise in the 24-year-old, it is a good sign. They have much success developing young and undrafted prospects such as Duncan Robinson, Strus, and Haywood Highsmith.

Swider is excited to begin his journey with the Heat, sending a message in response to the news.

Last season with the Lakers, Swider appeared in only seven games. But in Vegas, he got the opportunity to show what he is capable of.
