After Hosting Christmas Giveaway, Miami Heat's Tyler Herro Gets Right Back In Gym

Tyler Herro gives back to the community with a Nike Store shopping spree for kids
In this story:

Tyler Herro and his foundation held their second annual Christmas giveaway at the Nike Store in Miami Beach on Thursday night.

The giveaway consisted of Herro taking 10 fortunate kids from the Voices for Children Foundation on a shopping spree at the Nike Store and giving each a $1,000 gift card.

He walked around the store, helping the kids pick out any shoes and clothes they desired. Lots of the kids were aiming for the brand-new Air Jordan 11s.

Herro took pictures with all of the Miami Heat fans and store employees.

One of the fans got to ask Herro a question: "What would you be doing if you weren't playing basketball?"

"Uhh, I never thought about it," Herro said, laughing.

Herro continued to take pictures and signed autographs. He even signed some of the kid's shoe boxes and left them with a personal message on the box.

Herro even gave some advice to one of the kids who also has NBA dreams.

"Practice every single day," Herro said.

Unsurprisingly, Herro went to the gym and returned to work as soon as the event ended. Coach Erik Spoelstra credited his work ethic after the game versus the Orlando Magic.

"He's relentless with his work," Spoelstra said.

Although professional athletes have busy schedules, Heat players have been ensuring they find time to get into the community and give back this holiday season.

The kids weren't the only ones who left with a gift as they returned the love and gifted Herro with a basketball with all their signatures on it.

Tyler smiled, thanked the kids, and continued taking pictures with the fans in attendance.
