Miami Heat Superfan DJ Khaled Partners With Gatorade On "Capsule Collab"

DJ Khaled, Gatorade and Jordan Brand are all part of the partnership

Miami Heat superfan DJ Khaled has coined the phrase "We The Best."

The same can be said about Gatorade and the Jordan Brand. On Wednesday, the three entities announced a partnership. They all joined for the launch of Gatorade iD, "a free membership platform with exclusive benefits."

According to a press release, "it gives all members and athletes access to personalized equipment, limited drops and rewards." One of the capsule collaborations is called "Gatorade x DJ Khaled," which becomes available at Gatorade.com for purchase exclusively for Gatorade iD members Feb. 8 during Super Bowl week.

Among the products available are a DJ Khaled-designed Gx Bottle, Gatorade Towel and Jordan Brand hoodie.

“I’ve loved Gatorade since I was a kid and to this day, I have it in the studio with me to fuel my creativity,” DJ Khaled said. “I’m so blessed they gave me the keys to create this legendary capsule. Gatorade, We The Best and Jordan Brand...we all icons and this is just proof!”

DJ Khaled's most popular moment with the Heat came during Game 5 of the 2022 Eastern Conference semifinals against the Philadelphia 76ers. With the Heat comfortably ahead, DJ Khaled grabbed a loose ball from his courtside seat. He then handed the ball to Heat guard Max Strus. Before heading back to his seat, Khaled rubbed coach Erik Spoelstra's shoulders.

The scene quickly became an Internet sensation, with several fans talking about it on social media. It was easily the most talked about moment of the game.

“He’s such a great fan,’’ Spoelstra said. “Over the years, I’ve said, ‘Hello,’ a few times, but that was a first ... That was funny," Spoelstra said. "I didn't notice until the end when he was getting the crowd fired up but I loved it. That's was awesome. I was humbled to be a part of that moment."
