Miami Heat Trade Victor Oladipo To Oklahoma City Thunder
The Victor Oladipo Miami Heat era is over.
On late Friday, the Heat traded Oladipo to the Oklahoma City Thunder. The move creates a $9.5 million trade exception.
Oladipo is expected to miss most of next season after sustaining a knee injury in April. He averaged 10.7 points, 3.5 assists and three rebounds in 42 games last season.
Kevin Love back for another season
The Miami Heat and Kevin Love have always had mutual interest of staying together.
On Friday, they made it official.
According to multiple reports, the Heat are expected re-sign Love once the free agency period begins. Love spent the past half of a season in Miami after being acquired during the buyout season.
Love averaged 7.7 points and 5.7 rebounds in his 21 games with the Heat last season. He is expected to provide solid backup help at the center and power forward spots this season.
Love was receiving interest from a few teams during free agency, including the Milwaukee Bucks.
Heat re-acquire former draft pick Josh Richardson
The Heat once traded Josh Richardson in their package for Jimmy Butler.
Now, the two are expected to become teammates.
The Heat reportedly acquired Richardson on a two-year deal according to The Athletics. Richardson was a second-round pick by the Heat in 2015 before being traded to the Philadelphia 76ers as part of the Butler deal in 2019.
