Miami Heat's Jaime Jaquez Has One Of The Highest Rating Jumps In NBA2K This Season
Miami Heat rising star Jaime Jaquez recently received the NBA2K Ratings chain last week from the video game's creator, Ronnie Singh.
The reason was because Jaquez, a rookie, had one of the highest overall rating jumps this season. He improved from a 77 rating to 81 after multiple jaw-dropping performances from Nov. 30 to Jan. 11. During season No. 3, Jaquez Jr. averaged 16.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.8 assists. Before the NBA All-Star break, Jaquez led the Heat to a 119-113 win against the Philadelphia 76ers with a career-high 31-point, 10-rebound game on Christmas night.
The Heat won 11 of the 19 games they played during this period, from Nov. 30-Jan. 11. Jaquez joins Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Halliburton as the two players this season to receive the NBA2K ratings chain this season.
Singh, who goes by the nickname Ronnie2K, asked Jaquez where his season rating would end.
Jaquez replied: “100, 99”.
After being selected No. 18 in last year's NBA draft, Jaquez has shocked many fans, analysts, and players with his play this season. He has shown the league his exceptional skills, earning a berth in the Rising Stars Challenge and slam dunk contest during All-Star weekend.
He is arguably the Heat's most impactful first-year player since Dwyane Wade in 2003.
