Miami Heat rookie Jaime Jaquez didn't let losing his first appearance in the NBA slam dunk contest prevent the chance to represent his latest partnership.

Jaquez wore the "59FIFTY" Heat City Edition baseball cap for New Era Cap during one of his dunks in the preliminary rounds. He did not make it out of the first round but still found chance to represent the brand. Fans can purchase City Edition caps HERE.  .

Jaquez was the fourth different Heat player in franchise history to participate in the event, joining Billy Thompson (1990), Harold Miner (1993 and 1995), and Derrick Jones Jr. (2020).

“I would say it was a lot of fun,” Jaquez said of his first All-Star Weekend experience. “I had a great time this weekend. I got to meet a lot of cool people, shake a lot of hands. So just to be able to get into an environment like this with such an amazing group of talent all across the board was cool.”

Still, the company was thrilled about Jaquez deciding to rep New Era Cap on the grandest of stages. He was the Heat's first participant in the event since 2020 when Jones Jr., won in Chicago.

“After working with Jaime at the 2023 NBA draft, we really loved his passion and style. We were thrilled to team up with him to create a memorable moment at this year’s All-Star Game,” said Todd Sokolowski, Director of Licensed Products at New Era Cap. “The slam dunk competition is an iconic celebration of creativity and skill in basketball and Jamie made it all his own by adding his own flair with the 59FIFTY.”
