Miami Heat's Jimmy Butler On Game 7: "I'm Not Going To Let Anybody Quit"
Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler took most of the blame for Saturday's Game 6 loss to the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference finals.
He refuses to let it affect his preparation for tonight's Game 7 at TD Garden. Butler is already motivated enough, so he wants to make sure his teammates are hype.
"I'm not going to let anybody quit," Butler said. "I don't give a damn what happens. We're going to go in there and make it happen."
A year ago on this day, the Heat fell just short of making the NBA Finals. They lost to the Celtics in Miami. This time, they want to flip the script by defeating them on their home court.
"It's the first to four," Heat center Bam Adebayo said. "We knew this series wasn't going to be easy. People act like we're shocked that we're in a dogfight with the Boston Celtics."
The winner faces the Denver Nuggets in the next round, with Game 1 Thursday in Denver.
