Miami Heat's Jimmy Butler On Max Strus: "I Think Max Made Himself A Lot Of Money"

Max Strus' 31-point performance against the Chicago Bulls could have the Miami Heat fighting for him during free agency

Leave it to Jimmy Butler to produce the money quote to describe the impact of Max Strus' performance for the Miami Heat Friday against the Chicago Bulls

After Strus had 31 points and helped the Heat make the playoffs, Butler had the perfect explanation of what it meant.

"For me, honestly, speaking, I think Max made himself a lot of money tonight," Butler said.

Well said.

Strus did what was expected of Duncan Robinson when he got a big contract. Now, Strus will likely have the same opportunity to earn a hefty deal in the offseason.

It wasn't easy for Strus, a former undrafted G League player. His workouts are legendary among Heat players.

"The work that he puts in, it shows," Butler said. "It really does. He tries on every single possession. He tries to do the right things on offense, tries to do the right coverage on defense. We love him for that. We want to continue to be successful."
