Miami Heat's Josh Richardson Expected To Miss A Couple Weeks With Shoulder Injury
It appears Miami Heat guard Josh Richardson will miss a couple weeks after sustaining a shoulder injury in Sunday's loss to the Boston Celtics.
A report from Shams Charania of The Athletic said Richardson sustained a dislocated right shoulder. He is expected to be evaluated in a few weeks after undergoing an MRI Monday morning.
"I felt my shoulder pop out on the floor and then it popped back in laying on the ground, so thank goodness for that," Richardson said.
Richardson left in the second quarter after trying to steal the ball from Celtics forward Jayson Tatum. Rozier exited in the third quarter.
"More than anything, you just feel for those guys," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. "They're competitors, they want to be out there. They're trending in a much better direction. "Josh was just starting getting healthy and really starting to get his legs under him and really starting to make an impact on both ends of the floor. Terry was getting a lot more comfortable."
The Heat are now awaiting word on guard Terry Rozier, who was also injured against the Celtics. He underwent an MRI after sustaining a knee injury.
The Heat, who were also without Jimmy Butler on Sunday, return to action Tuesday against the Milwaukee Bucks.
