Miami Heat's Tyler Herro Blames Struggles On Himself, Bam Adebayo And Jimmy Butler
As one of the Miami Heat's top players, guard Tyler Herro knows where most of the blame should go for the recent struggles.
The Heat dropped their seventh straight game Monday to the Phoenix Suns. When it came to pinpoint the reason, Herro pointed the finger at himself, Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.
"I feel like it starts with me, Bam and Jimmy," Herro said. "That's on us to bring more and the rest of the guys will follow. That's on us."
Herro leads the Heat in scoring at 21.5 points a game, with Butler (21.1) and Adebayo (20.7) not too far behind. After recently acquiring guard Terry Rozier, who also averages 20 points, the Heat now need to develop a chemistry between the four.
They also need to solve the issue of lulls at various points in games.
"I think that's been a problem of ours the whole year long just being able to sustain, whether it's the third quarter or fourth quarter," Herro said. "The beginning of games, we've struggled at some point. I'm sure why but we'll figure it out."
The Heat still have plenty of time to make it happen but it is more ideal for it to happen sooner than later.
