It was over a month since the last time Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro warmed up during pregame.

That changed Thursday when he was able to put up some shots before the Heat faced the Boston Celtics in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals. Herro has been sidelined since breaking his hand in Game 2 against the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round.

It was a positive sign for Herro and the Heat but there remains no timetable on when or if he returns this season. The hope is he becomes available if the Heat are able to win one more game this series and advance to the NBA Finals.

The winner of this series plays the Denver Nuggets, who swept the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference finals, for the championship.
