The Miami Heat are poised to make a deal at the trade deadline, as they are the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Heat must shake things up to at least a minor degree to compete with teams such as the Boston Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks, Cleveland Cavaliers, and New York Knicks. One name mentioned is a reunion with veteran forward P.J. Tucker.

“I’m not saying they’re gonna make a massive move, but they did just get Ivica Zubac back against Miami,” ESPN's Ohm Youngmisuk said on the 'Brian Windhorst & The Hoop Collective' podcast. “And so now they have three bigs. And of course they do have P.J. Tucker who wants to be traded, has made no secret about that. He even told me that just last week in Toronto. I think his words were ‘actively looking to get traded.'”

This report came soon after Tucker posted an Instagram story of him going to Miami Beach with the caption "Home Sweet Home." The Los Angeles Clippers big man is struggling to find playing time since leaving the Heat after the 2022 season.

However, he is proven to contribute as a leader to championship contenders. Tucker played nearly 30 minutes per game during the Bucks 2021 championship.
