Referee Scott Foster is part of the officiating crew for the NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets.

Game 1 is tonight in Denver. The Heat were 0-5 this regular season during games officiating by Foster and have lost 13 of the last 15 with him on the court. They did, however, win Game 7 against the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference to clinch a berth in the Finals.

The teams enter this postseason having never faced each other in NBA Finals history with the Nuggets making their first appearance. The HEAT enter the series marking their seventh NBA Finals appearance, recording a 3-3 series record with NBA Championships in 2006, 2012 and 2013.For the Heat, Gabe Vincent (ankle) is questionable and Victor Oladipo (knee) and Tyler Herro (hand) are out. For the Nuggets, their injuries have yet to be reported.
