Potential Miami Heat Offseason Targets Trae Young, Damian Lillard Trade Frustrations About Speculation

Trae Young and Damian Lillard will keep the rumor mill churning during free agency period

Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard and the Atlanta Hawks' Trae Young are already fed up.

The playoffs haven't even started yet both are hearing their names in trade speculation. Both players are still under contract but that stops nothing.

The Hawks are reportedly exploring trade options for Young in the offseason while teams are lining up for Lillard. Both took to Twitter Friday express their frustration with the constant rumors.

Lillard wrote, "Boy y'all sure love moving the goal post."

Young responded, "Story of my life ... lol."

The Heat have been linked with both players. Sports gambling websites have listed Miami as the city with the best odds of landing Young. As for Lillard, ESPN's Brian Windhorst recently said the Heat are at the top of the list.

"The team I'm watching is the Miami Heat," Windhorst said. "The Heat are ready to go to their next star window. This is what they do. The Heat hunts stars. His time would probably match Jimmy Butler in terms of age. They have tradeable things potentially that the Blazers could want. I'm being a little premature but that's kind of what I see happening."

For now, it's just talk. After the season, things could get interesting.
