Rappers Cam’Ron And Ma$e Took Issue With Mario Chalmers’ Comments About LeBron James
Rapper Cam’Ron was the most recent person to take issue with Mario Chalmers’ “fear” comments about LeBron James.
On the latest episode of the “It Is What It Is” podcast, Cam’Ron challenged Chalmers to a game of one-on-one.
“I’ll tell you one thing, Mario, ain’t nobody scared to play against your ass,” Cam’ron said. “I’ll play you tonight."
He was even willing to place a bet on them.
“10-day workout, whatever you want to bet we can put the house on it,” he continued. “I need 10 days though. Absolutely… I could beat Chalmers.”
His co-host, rapper Ma$e, chimed in and mentioned he could easily defeat Chris Paul in a matchup.
You could beat Chalmers; I could beat Chris Paul," Ma$e told Cam'Ron.
Although Cam’Ron and Ma$e are rappers, they do have basketball backgrounds. They played together at Manhattan Center High School in 1993 with Ma$e the point guard.
On Thursday, Chalmers took to Twitter and responded to Cam’Ron by saying “Run it”.
All this stems from Chalmers’ comments regarding James and the limited fear his opponents have against him.
“Nobody fears Bron,” Chalmers told Playmaker HQ. “Nobody’s like, ‘Damn, I gotta go play against Bron tonight.’ Nobody said that. I don’t know why, because I seen people be scared when they actually line up to him, but they’re not scared thinking about that matchup. You hear anybody from that era talk about going against [Michael] Jordan, there’s a fear. So when you have people that fear a player then that tells you something different already. Jordan is just that guy.”
Chalmers and James played together on the Miami Heat from 2010-14, winning back-to-back championships.
