Raptors Fans On Social Media Joked Kyle Lowry Played Role In Heat's Poor Effort

Some Toronto fans candidly suggested Kyle Lowry told the Miami Heat to have mercy on the depleted Raptors Wednesday
In this story:

Kyle Lowry has taken his share of criticism from Miami Heat fans the past few years.

But he remains beloved by the fans in Toronto, where he is viewed as one of the greatest players in franchise history. So much they jokingly crediting him for the Heat playing so badly in Wednesday's loss to the Raptors

The Heat trailed by 37 at one point before falling 121-97. What made it worse was the Raptors played without several key players, including the recently-traded Pascal Siakam.

Who did the Raptors fans thank for this? Of course, Lowry.

Lowry finished with just four points on 2 of 6 shooting. He missed all six of his 3-point attempts. The Raptors fans were obviously kidding about the fix being in but Lowry has struggled against his former team.

Lowry has faced the Raptors seven times since joining the Heat in the summer of 2021. He scored single-digits in four of those games. He had three points when the teams met earlier this season.

While Lowry is a future Hall of Famer and forever loved in Toronto, his time with the Heat has been rocky. He's taken so much criticism over the years, ranging from poor play to his weight.

The Heat still have a few weeks to decide if Lowry is part of the future. The trade deadline is Feb. 8. They have three options: keep Lowry, find a trade suitor or offer a buyout after the deadline.
