Skip Bayless Calls Out LeBron James After Blowout Loss To Houston Rockets
The Los Angeles Lakers were blown out by the Houston Rockets Wednesday night. And of course, Fox Sports journalist Skip Bayless highlighted LeBron James as his main point of criticism.
Bayless has been an endless critique of James, dating to when he was a Miami Heat superstar. Bayless' latest rant was yet another jab at James, this time centered around his feud with Rockets forward Dillon Brooks.
"Dillon Brooks again called out LeBron, and I thought, 'Oh at least you've got some rocket fuel,'" Bayless said on Undisputed! Thursday morning. "I thought LeBron would say, 'Okay kid, watch this. I'm gonna shut your mouth again and I'm gonna come give you a triple-double.' It wasn't that LeBron played awful, it was just listless. It's like nobody cared about anything last night from the jump."
Their beef originated last postseason when Brooks was still a Memphis Grizzly. He called out the NBA's all-time leading scorer, which was reciprocated by a series performance where James averaged 22.2 points, 11.2 rebounds and 5.2 assists. Unfortunately, this performance was not replicated Wednesday. Bayless, in a rare praise of James, somehow turned his legend to criticize him amidst the poor team performance.
"I do admire and honor LeBron as one of the all-time great leaders in the history of sports in any sports," Bayless said. "But you'd think that would rub off on the team. Dillon Brooks is standing before the tip-off staring at the Lakers, and then he's antagonizing LeBron. Wouldn't you think they'd say, 'Okay watch this?' No, there was none of that."
