Social Media Grills Dwyane Wade On Recent Instagram Story

Former Miami Heat superstar Dwyane Wade’s latest Instagram story drew many social media reactions.

In this story:

Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade is one of the most respected and recognizable basketball players of all time.

But his post-retirement celebrity figure is subjected to ridicule and online memes. The latest slew of jokes came after Wade posted on his Instagram story with the caption, “When you smell your own morning breath.”

Normally, things like this wouldn’t be news. But given Wade’s popularity, it was spread through social media quickly, leaving basketball fans and Twitter users with more mockery for the former Heat superstar.

One user even mentioned his daughter Zaya as a point of attack toward Wade.

Some acknowledged the disparities in his basketball reputation and off-court persona.

“Bro was my favorite player growing up and he's my goat but oh my god I can’t defend him anymore,” one user said.

One fan even brought up the infamous Wade-James Harden debate about the third best shooting guard of all-time, jokingly saying this post elevates Harden an over the longtime Heat star.

In other Heat news, the team plays the Cleveland Cavaliers (8-6) Wednesday night in their reunion with former Heat sharpshooter Max Strus. Miami is fourth in the Eastern Conference, winning eight of their last nine games.
