Steph Curry, LeBron James Headline Dwyane Wade's All-Time Starting Five

Miami Heat Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade gives his all-time starting lineup.

Saturday night was dedicated to acknowledging Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade’s place in NBA history. Now, Wade is giving his perspective on the greatest players at each position with his all-time starting five.

“My all-time starting five to date is Steph Curry, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, and Shaquille O’Neal,” Wade said in a GQ Sports interview. “Beating everybody!”

His list is more position-less with Bryant as a small forward and James at the four. Still, the scoring and playmaking between those five is undeniable, so it isn’t a necessity to have players established at every position. Wade idolized Bryant and Jordan, so it’s hard to imagine he wouldn’t have both on his list.

His former Heat teammates O’Neal and James come in as the starting frontcourt. O’Neal is regarded as arguably the most un-guardable player of all-time with his size and scoring. With James’ facilitating and Curry’s shot selection, this unit would certainly be tough to overcome…in theory.

Like most all-time starting fives, this proposition can only be left to imagination. Still, it’s the collection of players Wade holds in the highest regard in league history.
