Takeaways From The Miami Heat's Loss Thursday To New York Knicks

The Heat fall to Knicks despite strong performance by Bam Adebayo

Just hours after being named a reserve for the 2023 All-Star Game, Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo had one of his best games this season.

Unfortunately, it ended with a 106-104 loss to the New York Knicks Thursday.

Adebayo scored 32 points which included two highlight dunks and 10 free throws. He was  effective on the court as he also finished with nine rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one block.

Here are some major takeaways from the game:

-Jimmy Butler was unable to bounce back from a horrible shooting performance on Tuesday. In fact, he had one of his worst games of the season. He finished with just 10 points on 38 percent shooting in the 33 minutes. He was also just 0 for 1 from the foul line.

-After a slow start, Tyler Herro scored 19 of his 25 points in the second half. However, he missed the winning 3-point shot in the corner late.

-The reports of Kyle Lowry and the Heat not seeing eye-to-eye might be true. He finished with three points on 14 percent shooting. He is averaging less than 13 points for the first time since 2012-13.

-With Victor Oladipo (ankle) sidelined, Max Strus led the bench with 17 points. He made five 3-pointers.

The Heat return to action Saturday against the Milwaukee Bucks
