Takeaways From The Miami Heat’s Loss Wednesday Against Cleveland Cavaliers

The Heat lost their first of back-to-back games against the Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat played their first of back-to-back games and this one could be a preview of the next.

It was kept close the whole time with 18 lead changes and six tied scores before the Cavs won 104-100. Here are some major takeaways from the game:

-Bam Adebayo finished with 17 points but his playing time was limited. He played only 28 minutes due to foul trouble. It started in the first half when he collected two fouls in the first quarter and one in the second. He finished with five total.

-Kevin Love had one of his best games as a Heat player. In the first three minutes, he scored the Heat’s first two field goals and drew two offensive fouls. He finished with eight points but shot 57 percent from the field, the second-highest as a Heat player. He also had eight rebounds, two assists, and one steal.

-Gabe Vincent was kept scoreless for the second time this season. He only attempted a 3-pointer in the third quarter. He did have two assists and one steal. The last time he went scoreless was on Dec. 5.

-Two days after their best game, the Heat’s bench was quiet. They combined for just 25 points, led by Victor Oladipo and Max Strus’ nine.

-The Heat had trouble taking care of the ball. They committed 22 turnovers, 12 of them in the first half. It was the second-most they committed this season and the most since Nov. 16.
