Takeaways From The Miami Heat’s Victory Saturday Against Atlanta Hawks

Bam Adebayo’s 30 points led Heat to victory

The Miami Heat once again kept fans on the edge of their seats but this time, came up with a victory against the Atlanta Hawks. Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler had double-doubles and received help from their bench.

With this victory, the Heat kept possession of the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference.

Here are some major takeaways from the game:

-After a poor first half performance on Friday, the Heat bounced back. They led by 17 at halftime. It was quite the improvement from allowing 71 first-half points against the New York Knicks

-Adebayo was in a scoring slump the last five games but got back in his groove. He finished with 30 points, getting 10 of them from the free throw line. He also had 11 rebounds, his first double-double since Feb. 15.

-Cody Zeller had his best game as a Heat player. He had a season-high 13 points on 100 percent shooting off the bench. It was the most he scored since May 11, 2021. Most of his production came in the first half.

-The Heat prioritized their defense around two of the Hawks’ best scorers. They limited Dejounte Murray to 10 points and Trae Young to a season-low eight. It was the first time Young was kept to single-figure points since Apr. 24, 2022.
