Takeaways From The Miami Heat's Victory Wednesday Against Memphis Grizzlies
For the first time since Jan. 18, the Miami Heat won a game by double-figure points.
With Ja Morant out and Desmond Bane getting ejected in the third quarter, the Heat had their best offensive game in the 138-119 victory against the Memphis Grizzlies. It was the most points they scored this season.
All five Heat starters scored double-figure points, including three with at least 20. Here are some major takeaways from the game:
-After scoring under 20 points the last five games, Bam Adebayo had a team-high 26 points. He also played solid defense, finishing with three blocks. It was the most blocks since Jan. 16.
-Tyler Herro also broke out of a cold streak. He finished with 24 points after scoring under 20 points the last two games. He is still struggling with his 3-point shot, with 10 of his points coming in the paint.
-Kevin Love has played well lately. He finished with 10 points, his second straight game with double-figure points. He also had six rebounds, three assists, and three 3-pointers.
-It was another productive performance by Jimmy Butler. He finished with 23 points, eight rebounds, six assists, two steals, and one block. He also had a game-high 11 free-throws, 10 of them in the second half.
-The Heat’s 3-point shooting is looking promising. They shot 44 percent, the first time this season they shot more than 40 percent in two consecutive games.
