Terry Rozier Discusses The Difference Between Losing With Miami Heat And Charlotte Hornets
Miami Heat fans are growing tired of their losses, meaning the last subject they want to discuss is 'Heat Culture.'
Despite this, the phrase could solve their problems. Newly acquired guard Terry Rozier is experiencing the full effects of the term, comparing the Heat's mentality around losing to that of his former team, the Charlotte Hornets.
"It's the total opposite. In Charlotte, you're kinda used to losing. It's in the DNA. It sucks to say that cause of how much of a competitor I am," Rozier said. "Over here, it's the total opposite. Nobody wants to lose. Nobody is fine with it."
Miami is 0-4 since acquiring the 29-year-old on Jan. 23. He had his best display in Monday's loss to superstar Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns. He scored 21 points on 57.1 percent shooting.
"Just the losing, nobody wants to lose, especially over here," Rozier said following the defeat. "You got the Culture and everybody playing hard. It's all about winning over here. It's definitely devastating...We're trying to find our way and we will."
Frustration is building in the locker room, but behind coach Erik Spoelstra, winning will come. Their next opening to snap the losing streak comes against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night.
