Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier is finding his footing with the team after a rough stretch prior to the All-Star break.

He tallied 19 points, four assists, and four rebounds on 7 of 14 shooting in Tuesday's win against the Portland Trail Blazers. Transitioning from the Charlotte Hornets, one of the NBA's worst teams, to the Heat has excited Rozier.

"I've been ready to get over here for a while," Rozier said. "I'm glad it finally happened. Just going from losing to winning ... Whatever you've got to do to get over that hump to win, I'm all for it."

This is not the first time Rozier has appeared to take a jab at his former team. He previously spoke on the differences between losing with the Heat and Hornets, which caught fire on social media.

"It's the total opposite. In Charlotte, you're kinda used to losing. It's in the DNA. It sucks to say that cause of how much of a competitor I am," Rozier said. "Over here, it's the total opposite. Nobody wants to lose. Nobody is fine with it."

Rozier was not happy with the outlets portrayal of the remark, responding to Bleacher Report's post. "I’m just talkin the vibes after a lost…yall the worse," Rozier replied to the post on X.

Regardless of his intentions, Rozier is comfortable with his years in Charlotte being in the rearview. So much that he worked extra hard rehabbing the knee injury that caused him to miss previous four games before Tuesday.

"I also just really respect how much time he put into this to be able to get back and kind of fast track this," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. "It was All-Star break when everybody else was off. He was doing three-a-days just to hopefully give him a chance to be ready earlier. He passed the protocol and that happened. It's a credit to his work ethic."
