Western Conference Recap: Luka Doncic Scores Nearly 50 Points In Win Over Brooklyn Nets

Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic scored 49 points in a victory against the Brooklyn Nets

Luka Doncic leads the Dallas Mavericks over the Brooklyn Nets 125-120 behind a near 50-point performance. Doncic wrapped up the night with 49 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists on 64 percent shooting. Guards Kyrie Irving and Tim Hardaway Jr. contributed to the victory, combining for 36 points.

- The Denver Nuggets improve to 2-0 on the season following a 108-104 win against the Memphis Grizzlies. Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray scored 22 points each in Denver’s narrow victory. In the absence of star guard Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Marcus Smart led the way for Memphis.

- Shai Gilgeous-Alexander leads the Oklahoma City Thunder past the Cleveland Cavaliers 108-105 in a second consecutive 30-point performance. Alexander added 11 rebounds, four assists, and five steals to his total. Big man Chet Homgren scored 16 points on 55.6 percent shooting along with seven blocks.

- Victor Wembanyama and Devin Vassell bring the San Antonio Spurs their first win of the season. They took down the Houston Rockets (0-2) 126-122. Wembanyama and Vassell scored a combined 46 points. Alpren Sengun, Fred VanVleet, and Jalen Green held Houston in this game.

- Los Angeles Clippers stars Kawhi Leonard and Russell Westbrook had opportunities to tie or seal the game but were unable to connect. Utah Jazz All-Star Lauri Markkanen led them to a 120-118 win over the Clippers with 35 points and 12 rebounds.

- Stephen Curry carried the Golden State Warriors to a four-point win over the Sacramento Kings. Curry scored 41 points on 73.7 percent shooting and 70 percent from three-point range. Sharpshooter Klay Thompson was the Warriors second-leading scorer with 18 points.
