The Miami Heat big man is entering his seventh season in the league.

As the Miami Heat enter another season with championship goals, center Bam Adebayo is crucial in their team success.

So, what can Heat fans expect from him this season?

Adebayo has been Jimmy Butler's second option since Butler arrived in Miami. His two-way production is critical in their ambitions, but some have called for him to do more. His lack of aggressiveness in the playoffs led to Butler needing superstar scoring performances on many occasions. Adebayo performed admirably in the Finals, but he needs more  consistency as a high-level scorer for the Heat to go the distance.

Superstar guard Damian Lillard was supposed to alleviate some of this offensive pressure but Miami couldn't assemble a package to acquire him. Without Lillard in the picture, the Heat don't have another high-scoring option outside of maybe Tyler Herro. Even then, Herro struggled in the postseason with consistency and injuries. Adebayo could contend for his first Defensive Player of the Year award, but he would need to balance his defensive presence with steady offensive production.

The expectations for Adebayo are high, as they should. He is coming off his second All-Star selection after averaging a career-best 20.4 points. He had more 30-point performances last season (11) than all his other years combined (7). Fans should only expect him to grow, especially with high competition this season.
