Who Should The Miami Heat Target In The Coming Months?

Chicago Bulls Alex Caruso and San Antonio Spurs Keldon Johnson are among potential acquisitions for the Miami Heat

The Miami Heat are the No. 7 seed in the East, much thanks to their plethora of injuries.

Stars Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro have missed substantial time through 25 games. In spite of these events, Miami holds a winning record. However, they could benefit from new faces in the locker room.

Here’s a look at two players the Heat should target in the near future:

1. Alex Caruso

The Chicago Bulls guard is a tenacious ball handler who could benefit the Heat in their lack of backcourt production. Outside of Herro, their guards have underwhelmed, which clears the path for Caruso to step in as their starting point guard. Not to mention, the asking price for the 29-year-old would be reasonable due to the Bulls disappointing start.

Caruso is averaging 9.3 points and 1.2 steals in 22.6 minutes. On the other hand, veteran Kyle Lowry is averaging 9.8 points and 4.1 assists as Miami’s starting point guard.

2. Keldon Johnson

The San Antonio Spurs 4-20 record could lead to a multitude of moves occurring over the coming months. Johnson is among the bright spots on the roster, averaging 17.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 4.3 assists on 47.2 percent shooting. He could provide Miami with extra scoring through his ability to stretch the floor alongside center Bam Adebayo.
