Spread & Over/Under Predictions for Hornets at Bulls

Picks for tonight's game.

Each game day, we at All Hornets will release an article on our thoughts on the spread and the over/under of Charlotte Hornets games. The star ratings next to the play describe the overall confidence in that particular play.

Star ratings:

1 Star - Not very confident

2 Star - A little confident

3 Star - Fairly confident

4 Star - Very confident

5 Star - Should be a lock to happen

Spread: Bulls -9.5

3 Star play on the Bulls (-9.5): Charlotte won their last time out against Sacramento, but dropped eleven games in a row prior to that. The team is still decimated by injury with LaMelo Ball, Gordon Hayward, Mark Williams, and Frank Ntilikina all out once again.

Chicago on the other hand is getting Nikola Vucevic and Zach Lavine back from injury for tonight's game. The Bulls have not been a stellar team by any means this season, but they are absolutely entering tonight's battle with a leg up.

The real difference in this match up comes in the front courts of these two teams. With Mark Williams injured, Nick Richards is the only healthy player on the Hornets roster who can provide true and consistent minutes at center against teams with large centers.

Vucevic and Andre Drummond are the exact kind of matchup that make having a thin roster at center difficult, and thus raise the floor on picking the Bulls in this one to a pretty consistent level.

Over/Under: 219.5

3 Star play on the over: On paper, neither of these teams hold up their end of this line consistently enough in terms of per game scoring, especially lately. But with the Bulls healthy roster having the aforementioned advantage in the frontcourt, Charlotte will need to play with a higher octane style to keep up.

My picks this season

ATS: 4-2 (66.6%)

O/U: 2-4 (33.3%)

Overall: 6-6 (50%)
