The Hornets will be down a starter tonight.
In this story:

The Charlotte Hornets have announced that starting wing Gordon Hayward will miss tonight's game against the Washington Wizards with right foot discomfort. He is considered day-to-day moving forward.

Hayward dropped in 15 points on an efficient night shooting (5/6 FG) with three rebounds, three assists, and one steal in Tuesday's preseason-opening loss to the Miami Heat.

The Hornets will, however, get second-year wing Bryce McGowens back tonight after missing Tuesday's game with a left ankle injury.

The Hornets and Wizards will tip off at 7 p.m. EST.
