Robinson, Heat Burn Hornets 115-104

The Hornets fell to the Heat for the second time in three days.

Just 48 hours after facing off with the Miami Heat at Spectrum Center on Monday, the Charlotte Hornets traveled to South Florida for a second consecutive matchup with their division rivals.

For the second game in a row, Charlotte was outdone by Miami and their savvy role players. Duncan Robinson and the rookie Jaime Jaquez Jr. combined for 40 points on Wednesday.

But through almost two full quarters, the Hornets were hanging tough. Leading 45-43 late in the second frame, Charlotte surrendered a 13-0 run to allow Miami to take the double-digit lead into halftime.

From there, it was difficult for the Hornets to catch up. The hot shooting of the Heat effectively put the game out of reach.

Best of the night:

Terry Rozier was incredible for the Hornets yet again. Leading the team in scoring, he logged 28 points and knocked down five of his six three-point attempts.

Rozier has been a major force in LaMelo Ball's absence and his consistent production has kept Charlotte in games.

Worst of the night:

The Heat shot 50% from three, once again highlighting the Hornets' defensive deficiencies. Duncan Robinson was Charlotte's Achilles heel all night, and he poured in a team-high 23 points along with six of the team's 15 three-pointers.

Stat of the night:

Miami finished the game with a 15-rebound advantage on the boards. Without Mark Williams, Charlotte had their opportunities reduced significantly on the glass.

Highlight of the night:

Halfway through the second quarter, Ish Smith threw a transition lob up to Brandon Miller who made the finish look easy.
