Score Predictions Denver Nuggets at Charlotte Hornets

Our staff make their predictions for tonight's Denver vs Charlotte game

Atticus Ferguson: Nuggets 140-100 Hornets

Nikola Jokic and the entire Denver should be licking their chops entering Saturday's matchup with the Hornets. Assuming there's no Mark Williams again for this contest, Jokic should be free to record one of his patented high scoring triple doubles. Defensively, Charlotte has been putrid and I don't see them having any hope of containing a championship roster in Denver. Charlotte clearly doesn't have the offensive fire power to hang around in a shoot out for 4 quarters with the defending champs. Expect this one to get ugly, continuing a trend for this decimated Hornets squad.

Prediction record: 8-3

James Plowright: Nuggets 129-109 Hornets

Now the schedule REALLY toughens up for Charlotte over the Christmas period. Picking up two wins before the calendar ticks over to 2024 would be classed as successful. Charlotte will have no hope for slowing down Jokic, it’s not his scoring I’m worried about but his passing out the post and Charlotte’s weakside defensive rotations which have largely been non-existent

Prediction record: 12-3

Will Eudy: Raptors 134-110 Hornets

Nikola Jokic and the defending champions will be in Queen City Saturday afternoon, and it should be yet another challenging matchup for the Hornets. With LaMelo Ball and potentially Mark Williams out yet again, Charlotte will have a difficult time matching up with the star talent of Jamal Murray and Jokic. This could (should?) be an easy victory for one of the most effective offenses in the league over one of the most suspect defenses.

Prediction record: 13-8.
