Score Predictions for Hornets at Magic

Our staff picks tonight's game between Charlotte and Orlando.

Schuyler Calliha: Magic 114, Hornets 112.

I might be crazy, but I think the Hornets can actually win this game. Charlotte is starting to play better defensively (in spurts) and at some point, it's all going to come together. However, the Magic offer a unique matchup with all of the length they have at their disposal. Orlando wins a tight one.

Prediction record: 4-4.

Philip Trapp: Magic 118, Hornets 107.

The Hornets are riding high off two wins in a row — both at home — against the Boston Celtics and the Washington Wizards. But can they keep that momentum going to best the Orlando Magic’s second-ranked defense? Charlotte will have to pull out all the stops on this first night of their three-game road trip.

Prediction record: 2-1.

Will Eudy: Magic 108, Hornets 103.

Orlando is one of the best defensive teams in the league riding a hot streak. The Hornets are getting their groove back, but this will be a tough environment for them to win in. Charlotte comes up just short.

Prediction record: 6-4.

Desmond Johnson: Hornets 110, Magic 104

I'm shocked the Magic have the 2nd best defense in the league, even though I had them at #6 in our weekly power rankings for the East last week. Magic have won three straight this week and six straight overall. But the Hornets have won two straight themselves and inserting Miles Bridges into the starting lineup has unlocked some sort of code. I expect a fast paced game with LaMelo Ball vs Cole Anthony in the 4th.

Prediction record: 3-5.
