Score Predictions for Hornets at Trail Blazers

Our staff picks tonight's winner between Charlotte and Portland.
In this story:

Albert Bottcher: Hornets 118, Trailblazers 105.

It's only fitting that two of the most injury-ridden teams this season will go into tonight's matchup missing multiple starters. The new-look Hornets have been able to get some wins in the absence of LaMelo Ball and Mark Williams, while the Blazers are on a 7-game losing streak, partly due to Scoot Henderson, Shaedon Sharpe, and Malcolm Brogdon missing time. With all of them unavailable again tonight, I expect Steve Clifford's backcourt rotation to take over and get a somewhat comfortable win.

Prediction record: 1-0.

Ian Black: Hornets 110, Trail Blazers 95.

The Hornets have a fantastic spot tonight to get back to some winning basketball after dropping Friday night’s matchup. Even with Ball and Williams on the shelf, the Hornets just have too many answers for a depleted Portland team. It’s also a shame we won’t get to see Brandon Miller face off against fellow top-pick Scoot Henderson, who is out with a thigh injury.

Prediction record: 10-1.

Atticus Ferguson: Hornets 115, Blazers 97.

Charlotte’s struggled shooting the ball in their past couple of outings, but tonight offers a perfect opportunity to re-set and get everything back in rhythm. While both teams are playing with significant names sidelined, Charlotte is much more equipped to overcome this with their newfound depth. Side note, Vegas is STILL disrespecting the Hornets listing them as 2.5 point underdogs at the time of me writing this.

Prediction record: 24-4.
